Aprašymas: Carlo Silvestri loves Granata, a beautiful courtesan; to could meet her, he does not hesitate to squander the family fortune. To save the family honour, Carlo’s father is forced to leave the ancestral home to a loan shark; Carlo himself, leaves his hometown with the purpose of rebuild a life abroad. But Granata is a generous woman: aware of the harm she has caused, she pretends to love Mayer, the loan shark, in order to get back the deed of gift of the Silvestri’s family house. Eventually she returns it secretly to Carlo’s family. Mayer, after discovering that Granata is fooling him, mad with rage, he kills her in front of Carlo’s house. The video is a copy from the film print held by the Museo Nazionale del Cinema and previously restored by the EYE Filmmuseum: 35mm, positive, acetate, 798 m, 39’ at 18 fps, colour (Desmetcolor), Dutch intertitles, silent.
